Rankinfraser have worked with Icosis Architects for Hanover Scotland on a new amenity housing development in Elgin. The landscape proposals include a large, central, communal garden, which enables a sense of community to develop at the heart to the development. Car parking is located to the outer edges of the development, creating a quiet, vehicle free landscape between the proposed flats to the north, and cottages to the south. The central garden accommodates productive areas, open space and courtyard seating spaces. The design respond to the site’s context of existing housing and historic landscape elements.
