Strawberry Field

Rankinfraser were appointed by The Salvation Army to work on this site which was made famous by the Beatles song, Strawberry Fields Forever. Strawberry Field in Woolton, Liverpool was a Salvation Army children’s home from 1936 until it closed in 2005. Rankinfraser are currently working with Hoskins Architects on proposals to establish a renewed use for the site including a proposed centre for young adults with learning difficulties, residential units associated with this use and a visitor centre which supports the iconic status of the sites link with the Beatles. The landscape design has sensitively integrated the existing mature woodland and original Victorian garden design with the requirements of the new proposals.
