Standard Life Roof Terraces

The detailed design of three roof terraces and a light well space for the recently completed mixed use office and retail development in the centre of Edinburgh, on St Andrews Square. The proposal includes a living wall on the terrace that is accessible to staff to screen a blank wall. The design principles include creating sheltered pockets of seating, framing views to the distant landscape of the Firth of Forth and Fife as well as complementing the material treatment of the building and surrounding cityscape in surface materials and plant selection.
